The 2008 adelaideinsurance.com/Kells Road Races Festival 2008 Launch took place last night in Kells which saw a very well turned out crowd . Special guests included Amelia Fanes and Kerri Lindsay who cut the ribbons and helped launch the New Medical car for Motorcycling Ireland which is supplied by McKeon Motors, .  Flowers were presented to Kerri by Michael Dunlop and Emma Ferguson presented Amelia with a bouquet. A surprised Nichola Pearce was presented also with flowers by Keith Amor on behalf of the club in recognition of her constant help and assistance. Special guest on the night was Keith Amor who rearranged his travel plans to come to Kells for the first time. Amor said I’m really pleased to be here and I’m really looking forward to racing at Kells. Nichola Pearce representing adelaideinsurance.com stated that they were delighted to be associated with the Kells Road Races and gave arun down on the insurance cover that was available on line for prospective adelaideinsurance.com customers. Machines on display were Ryan Farquhar s Harker Racing Kawasaki,JD Racing R1 Yamaha,Wilson Craig Honda. Other riders who attended on the evening were Michael Dunlop,Neil Lyons, Alan Connor, Wayne Kirwin, and Keith Costello. Some of the many invited guests included Sean Bissett, President MCUI S/C, Gov. Minister Pat Carey both of whom acknowledged the hard work done by the Kells Club in promoting a very successful event. Race Secretary Aileen Ferguson of the Kells club would just like to thank everyone who attended the launch and wished all riders on behalf of the Kells Club a very safe years racing.She also encouraged all clubs to promote the road safety message and urged all travelling to Kells and other events to  HEED THEIR SPEED AND ARRIVE ALIVE. She explained that the Club would be working closely with the Road Safety Officer for Meath Co. Council, Mr. Michael Finnegan to promote road safety to and from the event. Friday 18th July - Charity Classic Run Sat.   19th July - Practice followed by two races. Sat   19th July - Kells to Kells Rideout - Starts at 11am in Kells Co. Antrim. Arrive Kells Co. Meath at 1.30pm approx at               The Trade Fair, Fairgreen, Kells in aid of The Ireland Air Ambulance. FREE entertainment for the children               including bouncy castles, face painting, magician, mini disco, simulator.- in the play area at the Fairgreen. Sun   20th July - Race Day in Crossakiel - 12 Races starting with the JD 600 Irish Championship Race. THE KELLS ROAD RACES 2008 WILL BE SHOWN ON SKY SPORTS, SETANTA, NTL/CHORUS, MOTORS TV with a potential viewing audience of several million THERE WILL ALSO BE A DVD FOLLOWING THE RACES THIS YEAR.
