Adelaide International Kells Road  Races  2012 Lloyd Circuit 30th June & 1st July 2012.   2012 is a very exciting year for Kells MCRC, we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary as a club and also moving to a new Race Circuit which is situated beside the Heritage Town Of Kells.  It is a real homecoming for the club as a small part of the new track takes is a small section of the original Dulane Track which was where our first race in 1994 was held. We would like to take this opportunity of thanking Adelaide Insurance for their continued support and faith in us.  Adelaide are also celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year so it is a double celebration.  We are indebted to Sam and all his team for their help and with us all working together it promises to be a spectacular event. We as a club feel that this new circuit will allow us to progress and provide better facilities for our competitors and spectators.  Access is much quicker from the M3 and N52 and the track is within walking distance of the town of Kells with all its amenities for all the family.  The amount of spectator  areas will provide  for spectacular viewing and will easily accommodate everyone.  The Lloyd circuit is 4.2 miles in length and it will be a fast ,free flowing circuit with a technical back road for the riders.  It takes in the R147 ( old Cavan Road), N52 (link road) and the Mountainpole Road which will bring the rider back on to the Cavan Road. With the circuit within walking distance of the town of Kells it will make it very easy for our visitors to avail of all the FREE Entertainment which is being organised for Race Weekend. A Festival is being planned around the Road Races  and it will be called "Rally Round Kells".  A huge amount of activities are being planned to cater for all the family.  Kells will definitely be the place to be on the 30th June and 1st July. This year more than ever it is crucial that we get support. Some of the many attractions being planned are "The Cannonball Run Soap Box Derby" on Friday 29th June.  Also on Friday night the Annual Charity Classic Run will take place, Saturday the 30th June after Practice will see Live Bands in the Streets of Kells to entertain everyone.  So if you want to take part in the Soap Box Derby or the Classic Run contact us.
