Padraig Campbell – Benefit Night

CONGRATULATIONS  to David Lumsden , winner of  Stars in Their Eyes on Sat night in Kells at the Padraig Campbell benefit night. Kells MCRC would like to thank all those who took part,  Aonghus McAnally, David Lumsden, David Yeomans, Jim Leonard, Pascal Dardis, Ray Olohan, Sean O Neill,   Katrina Galligan and her daughter Lulu and The Element a young band from Boyne Community School in Trim. A great night was had by all and Padraigs Partner Dell thanked everyone for the support and she wished all the riders a safe year racing.  As a tribute to Padraig all the performers sang  at the end on stage together  " From a Distance" and the audience gave an emotional standing ovation. Supporting Dell on the night were her family and friends and Padraigs brother Nigel and sister Karen. We would like to thank John Scott for the Tom Herron Picture for the Auction, Gerry Daniel Manx Grand Prix Racing, CCs Unlimited, Kells MCRC, JJ Kelly, Athea  for the spot prizes. A special word of thanks to Sean O Neill for looking after the sound system and Disco at the end of the night.  We appreciate in particular all those who travelled long distances in memory of Padraig .
